This "Pocketable Puppy" by Birdie Brown is from our prize sponsor and definitely fun!  I started with 3 duplicate copies of the image and then paper pieced the pocket and the flowers with DP from Basic Grey.  The pup and leaves were colored with Copics.  The banners were also cut from Basic Grey papers.  After fussy cutting I re-assembled the layers using foam tape for dimension.

Embellishments include hand drawn frame lines around the
edge of the base card, Liquid Pearl "Bisque" used for the centers of the flowers and the banners strung from twine and left free floating so they move with the angle of the card.  The inside is finished with the same DP used on the pocket and edged with faux stitching.

"Mimi Stars" is the image here - from Stamp Fairy
will be for someone special - my niece!
I have printed her out twice, colored her with Copics, fancy cut, sculpted and mounted her on foam tape for dimension.   The background layer is glitter paper from a "Tahiti Beach Stack".  I distressed all the layers & mats edges and finished with  a ribbon, star brad, "Icicle" Stickles on her headband stars and her sceptre.  I really like the simple sentiment that seems to go with this image.
Photos below show the inside.

This sweet image from Bugaboo Stamps was definitely fun to color and lends itself easily to a lot of different layouts.  I printed her out three times, colored, fussy cut, sculpted each piece and mounted her with foam tape for dimension.  You can see some of that dimension on the photo (below) of the inside.  In addition to the layers, I simply added ribbon and half black pearls from Hero Arts to balance the composition..

In Memory of Jacqui...

We were notified this morning that Jacqui, the owner of  The Digi Garden (this weeks challenge sponsor), recently passed of suspected heart failure.  My heartfelt condolences go out to her family and friends - and I hope they find our cards using her images a tribute to her work.

The image is "Emily's Winter Outfit" from the Digi Garden - sweet and fun to color.  I printed three copies, colored and fussy cut the layers.  Each layer was sculpted for dimension and adhered with foam tape.  I started with a lavender base card, layered DP and two scalloped ovals for my focal image.  The same was done with the sentiment.  For embellishments I used punched snowflakes with a drop of Liquid Pearls' "White Opal" on each of the six points of each flake.  There are also two drops "tacking" the white oval of the sentiment to the layer below it.

Family Valentine!...

Sometimes you find the perfect image for a daughter and her son and daughter (who is a little princess!). I could use this image for years if I keep changing up the layout and embellishments!  LOL!

I chose the Basic Grey background layer and then pulled out the colors I wanted for my image.  A ticket stub punch for the corners, a ribbon, bow and brads complete the simple layout. As a finishing touch of bling, I used duo glue applied with a Calligraphy pen and gold foil for the crown.

Happy Valentines to "ewe"...

Have you ever seen a Cupid Lamb?  LOL!  Me neither ... but makes for a good sentiment -
"Happy Valentine's Day to Ewe..."

A simple card with a ribbon, faux brads and sparkle on the wings.  Boys don't like a bunch of frou-frou!
TIP:  Just a note on the construction of the faux brads - I used two different sized hand punches (like what you would use to punch a hole in the top of a tag for example) for the little circles.  I used card stock the color I wanted, glued them down to the four corners of each of the two layers and then used Diamond Glaze to make them shiny and rounded like a real brad.  This is a great way to make brads that match your colors.
